Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy start then sunny periods Max Speed: Distance Covered: 4 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
Friday 28th March - walks *** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy start
with very light rain, then sunny.
Walk 1 – Felixstowe prom.
I had hoped to head over to Levington Marina early for a foil to make the
most of the 11 o clock high tide but the wind was marginal at best and
threatening rain so as Friday is a Maeva day I gave windsurfing a miss and
had fun with the Granddaughter instead! Mag drove round to pick her up
while I did my exercises, again she was not 100% but we had a lovely time,
watching Rue staring a local rival out on the fence, then Mag did some
Mothers Day crafts before we headed down to Felixstowe prom for a walk with
the wind now offshore and the sun made an appearance! It was pleasant on
the sheltered prom with some great clouds in the sky! Maeva was asleep by
the time we reached The Fludyers our turning point. Then home for lunch,
spotting a Red Kite over the house!
Walk 2 – Around Felixstowe.
We were taking Maeva to meet her Mum at The Oaks for a Mothers Day crafts
thing so we set off for our second walk of the day and in the end we walked
nearly 4 miles! Top day:)
